Yoga & Unarmed Combat

Yoga

“Men are born soft & supple. Dead, they get stiff & hard. Plants are born tender & pliant. Dead, they are brittle & dry. Thus, whoever is stiff & inflexible, is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft & yielding is a disciple of life. The hard & the stiff will be broken. The soft & the supple will prevail.”          – Lao Tzu

Based on the above principle of soft & hard, we have formulated a special set of Yogasanas that are concentrated to make the human body more supple & exercise the internal organs simultaneously. These asanas, which are taught in three different sets, can also enhance the will power & make the child more determined.

  1. Loosening the joints of the body & the spine
  2. Flexing the tendons & the muscles (while also exercising the organs)
  3. Strengthening the Muscles
Continued training of the asanas & exercises that will be taught to the children during the camp will surely bring in positive results.

Unarmed Combat
The organisers of this camp were (& still are) recognised as highly efficient trainers of unarmed combat. With the surroundings getting so insecure, we have decided to introduce a lesson on unarmed combat in this camp.

Based on the Zen principle, “it is better to master a single technique, than to learn a hundred”, we in this camp shall arm children with just a few natural weapons which are guaranteed to help them on the street after repeated practices.

Kindly do not expect your child to learn the ornamental techniques as seen in the films. They are only eye-pleasing. A fight on the street is just very simple, crude & short.

And above all it needs guts to fight on the street, which we will try hard to induce in your child through out the camp.
